Circuit breaker lockdown

Elective surgery victoria COVID

Like most Melbournian’s we were upset to hear of the growing COVID 19 case numbers and the circuit breaker lockdown announced on Thursday.

Our rooms will remain open during this time and Mr Chia will continue to see post-operative patients as well as any new patients that need to be seen urgently. As always if you have any COVID-type symptoms, please do not attend your appointment, please get tested and contact our rooms. Should you have visited any exposure sites or are a close contact of a positive case, do not attend your appointment, call our rooms and we will find another time for you to attend.

Surgeries have been cancelled until Friday 4th of June except for Category 1 cases.

We wish all of you all the best during the lockdown and do contact us if you have any queries, we are here to help.

We look forward to seeing you again in our rooms shortly.

A little about what our team is doing during the lockdown

Andrew – catching up on the growing pile of orthopaedic articles he wants to read, trying to set a new record for how many times he can cycle his 5km radius in two hours and hopefully catching up on some well deserved rest.

Damien – cleaning/organising and allowing his OCD to run wild!! His house will be sparkling, everything will be back “just where it should be” and we hope he finds some time to perfect his lawn bowling skills in his backyard!

Helen – she is convinced that circuit breaker lockdown translates to “baking, baking and more baking” in Greek! She has promised to catch up on all the books patients have recommended as well as ensuring her three children learn during “remote learning”.

Fionna – will be trying to find a quiet place that her three young children won’t find! She has promised to remember all the things she enjoyed about lockdown 1,2 & 3 and focus on those.
